Taking the Views of the Child into account

A Child's views will be taken into account depending on the age an understanding of the child.

In practice a child is more likely to be listened to if s/he speaks favourably of mother than if s/he speaks favourably of father.

An important concept is Gillick Competence - is the child capable of making decisions.
